Why was this site created?
To provide one place where the rapidly growing number of AI data center sites and development plans across Japan can be seen together, with sources cited. The aim is not to criticize individual facilities or operators, but to help residents, local governments, researchers, and journalists establish the facts.
Does a listing mean a facility or operator is acting illegally or improperly?
No. A listing is an organized record of public information, not a determination of legal violation or impropriety. See the disclaimer on each facility page and the methodology for details.
Where does the information come from?
We combine primary and secondary sources: official company announcements, municipal bulletins and council minutes, and news reports. Each entry shows an evidence level (E1–E5) reflecting the nature of its sources, and unverified information (E0) is not published. See the methodology for details.
I found an error in a listing. What should I do?
Please use the corrections contact on the facility page. We do not rewrite the original record; errors are handled by appending a correction event to the history.
May I use this site's data in my own analysis or article?
The aggregate and facility information served by the public API may be used freely as long as you credit the source with this site's URL. Copyright in the underlying sources themselves (news articles, company announcements, and so on) belongs to their respective rights holders. See the methodology for the full terms.
Is this site affiliated with similar sites overseas?
We have taken reference from earlier efforts overseas, such as Brockovich Data Center (brockovichdatacenter.com) in the United States, but this site is independent in both operation and data.
